There are 3 methods to install Windows 11, we leave the options in detail below.
Windows 11 options:
**Method to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 (only compatible with computers with x64 processors) **
We check the following conditions:
To have installed Windows 10, version 2004 or later and license.
Check that your computer meets the requirements for Windows 11.
Have at least 10GB free to download Windows 11.
After downloading the Installation Assistant:
Run with administrator permissions.
Accept and install once we see the license terms.
Restart now to complete the installation.
**Method to reinstall or clean install Windows 11 (only compatible with computers with x64 processors) **
We check the following conditions:
Internet connection.
Enough free space on your computer, USB or external drive to download the .iso file.
An empty USB or DVD of at least 8GB to create the boot drive (It is recommended that the drive be empty, as the contents of the drive will be removed during the installation).
Check that your computer meets the requirements for Windows 11.
Run with administrator permissions.
Accept once we see the license terms.
What do you want to do, select Create installation media for another PC and select Next.
Select language, edition and 64-bit architecture for Windows 11.
Select the media you want to use:
- USB drive: Connect an empty USB drive with at least 8 GB of space. All contents will be deleted.
- ISO file: Save an ISO file on your PC. It can be used to create a bootable USB. After downloading the file, you can go to the location where it was saved.Burn the downloaded ISO with
Rufus or any other similar tool.
**Método para los que quieren crear un USB - DVD de arranque o crear una máquina virtual con archivo .ISO (solo es compatible con equipos con procesadores x64) **
We check the following conditions:
Internet connection.
Enough free space on your computer, USB or external drive to download the .iso file.
Un USB o DVD vacío de al menos 8GB para crear la unidad de arranque. (Es recomendable que este vacía la unidad, pues durante la instalación se eliminará el contenido del mismo)
Check that your computer meets the requirements for Windows 11.
Hay que entrar en la web oficial de Microsoft para hacer este método. Bajamos hasta la opción "Descargar imagen de disco de Windows 11 (ISO)" y seguimos los pasos que la propia web nos indica.
Before installing Windows 11, make and save a backup copy of your computer if you need to so as not to lose important information.
Here we already have to have the bootable USB created with one of the last 2 methods above.
Connect the USB to the computer where you want to install Windows 11.
Restart the computer and open the boot manager to choose the USB. We can also modify the boot order from BIOS to start with the USB.
Click on Install Windows, then choose language, time and keyboard preferences and click Next.
Follow the installation steps and choose where you want to install.
Once installed, follow the configuration steps until you reach the Desktop.
