Slimbook Control Center For Linux?

Avatar
BooglieWoogliePiggy

On my dual boot Creative, I finally noticed that Windows 11 comes with an application called Slimbook Control Center that allows me to control all sorts of functions of the laptop, including precisely controlling the rgb keyboard.

Why isn’t this app on Linux? My Fedora distribution only has the Slimbook RGB Keyboard app that doesn’t offer nearly as much control and has stopped opening altogether since the last kernel update. Can I get the same app from Windows on Fedora?

Good morning,
No, there's no equivalent Control Center app for Linux.

As for rgb keyboard, it needs to be fixed. At the moment, you need to install slimbook-meta-common for rgb keyboard for it to work. In the next update it'll be fixed.

Kind regards.

Hello,
We don't have a control center for Linux, although we'd like to have one in the future.
The development work is more extensive, since having small applications and porting them to other distros allows us to port some drivers and also make them compatible with more computers, not just Slimbook ones.
A Control Center for all computers and all distros is a daunting task.
