Update of November 24: We are back to 99%. 25 days have passed since the tragedy, and the main affected areas are still without many of the services such as public transport, road access, or schools and health centres. From the other towns we are trying to return to daily work. In this way, affected colleagues and the business fabric of the area itself, are resuming the activity that feeds the circular economy of the area..
Update of November 4: lthough this news was written on October 30, we wanted to let you know today that part of our staff is resuming activity, and although we will attend to all your requests, we may be late. Thank you for your understanding.
Original notice:
With our hearts heavy with what has happened, we wanted to dedicate a few lines to inform our clients of what has happened in Valencia, the Spanish province in which we are located..
On the afternoon of Wednesday 29th October, heavy rains of up to 500 litres/m2, and the overflow of the Turia River, Magro River and Poyo Ravine in several areas, have caused the flooding of numerous urban areas: towns, main roads, industrial areas, shopping centres, fields, etc.
At this time, the death toll stands at 95 people, but there are hundreds missing. Thousands of vehicles, street furniture, trees, etc., have been swept away by the current, blocking access to towns, causing roads and bridges to break.
Fortunately, the Slimbook team is fine, we only have to regret the loss of the equipment that left our facilities on Wednesday afternoon, but we are going to work hard to be able to solve it as soon as possible.
Some members of our company have lost their vehicles and personal belongings, while others have been cut off from their homes. For this reason, we have not been working today to answer your technical questions or to prepare your orders.
We will return to routine in the coming days. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
