How to set up RAID 0-1 in Fedora

Hello Linux users!

In this tutorial, we're going to configure a RAID 0-1 directly from the Fedora installer.

Start the system with the Fedora ISO.

As soon as you enter, the installer will start. The first thing it will ask you to do is choose the language and keyboard layout.

The next step will be like the one shown in the image, and we'll click on Installation Destination:

Once inside, we'll select the disk units we want to have in RAID. In our case, we've used 2 disks, but there can be more units depending on the type of RAID you're going to use. In addition to selecting the disks, choose custom configuration.

For the partition scheme, we're going to choose to create them automatically in BTRFS format. If you wish, you can change this according to your needs.

Here we already have the partitions created. Select the /root partition and in the options, click on modify in the Volume option:

Choose the RAID type we want to create. In our case, we've chosen Raid 0, and for size, we choose the "As large as possible" option and save the changes.

Click on "Save" to display a history of all the changes we've made. If everything is correct, "Accept Changes"

Now, we can proceed with the normal installation by following the steps of the installer.

Once the installation is finished, turn off the computer, remove the USB drive, and let the system boot up. Follow the indicated steps, and now we have our RAID configured in Fedora.
