Updated EVO 15 to the latest BIOS and EC version, but the battery charging limit is still at 80%

Hello,

sadly for me, I have just updated my EVO 15 to the latest BIOS Version N.1.15GOS11 and EC EC Version 2.16.00.000, but the charging limit of my battery is stuck to 80%. This because I have noted the following article only after the update:

IMPORTANT:
If you already had a charge limit set in BIOS, you need to change it back to 100% before flashing the BIOS & EC.

Now I am afraid that there is nothing I can do anymore to reset the battery charging limit to 100%.

Maybe, it would have been helpful to add a warning in the CHANGELOG_BIOS.txt file.

I ask here for help with little hope, but still, maybe there is a chance.

Same problem.

But I reset the settings to their defaults, and I made the mistake of not confirming the change to the battery charge limit. Now I have the new BIOS and EC versions, but the charging limit for my battery is stuck at 60%.

Hello,
You are still able to flash the old BIOS back in the device to change the charging limit settings in the BIOS, after changing it, you can flash the new one back

 @samanta sanchez - Thank you very much for your quick and precise response. The solution was, after all, simple and straightforward. Now I have my charging limit at 100% again. 👍

If I can give my two cents about this issue:
this upgrade didn't go particularly well from an informational standpoint because, in my humble opinion, it was the first BIOS update with a break from the previous version, and customers weren’t adequately informed about it. Please don't take this comment as criticism, what's done is done and you responded quickly with the right solution, but rather as a suggestion for improvement in the future.
