Excalibur returns 7 years later, a classic name in the history of Slimbook, representing the third of our laptops: an aluminum ultrabook, slightly larger than the typical ones offered in that year 2017.
This time, it maintains the premise of being a powerful and larger ultrabook, with a 16-inch display, while retaining its solid chassis and a weight of 1.86 kg. The large-sized screen offers spectacular conditions, with a refresh rate of 165Hz to provide extra smooth motion clarity, and 100% sRGB color coverage, with a brightness of 403 nits.
Additionally, it features a 16:10 aspect ratio, providing more screen space than the standard 16:9, balanced with a new resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, which will surely make you wonder why it's not already the standard.
Let's go back to its name, Excalibur, which not only metaphorically accompanies it as the great sword of King Arthur but also for the great power it holds within itself. A power that we have managed to master and control, creating 3 work profiles: one "Energy Saving", very quiet, where the fan should not exceed 36 decibels; another "Balanced", for normal use; and finally, a "Performance" mode, where the TDP can be increased to 60W, surpassing what other laptop manufacturers/assemblers offer, thanks to the incorporation of a second extra-large turbine fan that controls temperatures, ensuring that even in performance benchmarks, temperatures do not exceed 87°C in most cases.
