Instructions for attempting to revive wet equipment

Hello everyone!

Unfortunately water damage is one of the worst as it can short-circuit any component and checking it can be time consuming.

Here are a few steps to try to revive your computer.

- Shut down your equipment immediately: If you have not already done so, make sure the computer is completely turned off. Disconnect it from the power source and remove the battery, RAM and SSD.

- Remove the peripherals and accessories: Disconnect any peripheral devices, such as mice, external keyboards, USB drives, etc.

- Drain water: Tilt the unit with the screen down to allow any remaining water to drain off. You can also shake it gently to remove excess water, but do not shake it roughly, as this may cause further damage.

- Disassembly and drying: Use compressed air to remove moisture, and make sure it is completely dry before attempting to light it.

- Allow to air dry: Place the equipment in a position where water can drain off (preferably with the screen facing downwards) and let it dry for at least 48 hours in a warm, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight, as this may cause further damage.

- Rice or silica gel: Placing the equipment in a container with rice or silica gel can also help absorb moisture. However, this is not a guaranteed solution and does not replace air drying.

If after following these steps the equipment still does not work, it is possible that some components may need to be replaced due to water damage, for which you will need to contact the technicians where you purchased the product.
