Reset BIOS password on Essential

Hi, I forgot the BIOS password on my Slimbook Essential laptop.  Is removing the CMOS battery the only way to reset the password, or is there another more convenient option?

Good morning Rohit,

It's not possible to reset the BIOS if you forget the password, nor would it be helpful to remove and replace the CMOS battery since the password is stored differently.

Unfortunately, this issue is not covered by the warranty, and to reset the password would incur a cost. You can contact support for more information.
