Next-Gen Pro X & KDE Slimbook

Our most successful ultrabook model is back with tons of new features that will make you fall in love with it even further.

This new model's CPU renewal is among the most notorious changes for this generation, and it's the result of years of hard work. As you may know, we have our own in-house developed apps, and amog those you'll find Slimbook AMD Controller. This application will give you full control over your AMD's processor performance and power consumption. Pretty neat, right? Well then, the new ProX will have a firmware level performance profile (disguised as a BIOS switch) built-in that will let this power efficient U series processor reach the same performance levels from the top tier H series processors. This new "Unrestricted Performance" feature gives you the ability to bypass all restrictions imposed by the CPU design by setting the BIOS parameter at boot or at any given time with the use of the FN+F5 hotkey. You'll find that our "Silent" mode (which is what most other manufacturers default to) keeps system fan noise under minimums while our "Performance" mode will unleash all performance there is to give with no power constraints or fan noise.

Take a look at these graphs showing all data obtained in our labs from the last gen ProX vs the Next-Gen model. You'll notice a clear boost in power efficiency while on "Performance" mode.

The smaller 14” model managed to stretch its battery life up to 3 additional hours with its smaller battery while idling and an additional 1 hour and 40 minutes during 1080p video streaming. On the other hand, its 15” sibling gets a 4 hour improvement during idle operation and 3 hours with 1080p video streaming.

That’s quite a hefty boost over last-gen model that you’ll notice even more if you code often with your Slimbook, because you’ll get over 40 minutes of additional compile time on the 14” model and 1 hour on the bigger 15” model. The power/efficiency ratio of the new model is really amazing.

The largest cosmetic change you’ll notice will be the keyboard easily. Our customers have been asking for this for quite a while, and we listened. Now in full black keycaps with white lettering and backlit for those night code sessions. This new color scheme gives better contrast and visibility that works at any time of the day. (US-ANSI keyboard available only in Silver color)

I/O gets some improvements too. The USB-C port now complies with all specs and features that it has to offer. It will let you charge your laptop, get two additional displays without the need of any nasty third party drivers. Add the updated 2.0 HDMI port and now you have a laptop that can drive up to 4 displays simultaneously.

But connectivity upgrades does not stop there! There are upgrades on the inside too! With an additional M.2 drive, now you get two M.2 RAID capable slots while retaining both DDR4 RAM slots that enable DUAL CHANNEL operation.

GPU improvements come in the form of one extra compute unit and a frequency boost to 1900MHz.

Lightness and performance, now refined to the next level.
